Family History Beginners Board / Re: Jenkins research - What to do when the information just doesn't add up

Hi Cati,
I have George (we''ll call him Junior) marriage certificate to Winifred Atkin. This provides information regarding George Jenkins (senior) who was a factory engineer and Winifred's father Aaron Atkin who was a farmer. Dated August 1935.
I find the 1911 census doesn't provide the names of the people in the dwelling, just the total of females/males, address etc and with George Jenkins being a popular name, its impossible. Maybe I'm approaching the census information wrongly.
Hmmmm.
I only have George Jenkins (senior) death certificated registered 19th March 1954.
I have a photocopy of something else, I presume to be a copy of a passport or maybe visa. It has a serial number RCMK 319.1 in the name of George Jenkins. It contains a National Registration RCM stamp dated 4 JN 43. I believe this could possibly belong to George Jenkins (Junior) as the address is Bole Hill Farm in Chinley and I don't believe George (Senior) left the london area. Something that I found interesting, although small fact, he signed his name Geo, which I am lead to believe is an abbreviation for George, which I didn't know. There you go...
