According to my records Richard Halcroft got a Conditional Pardon on 1 January 1842.

CP 35/400 43/45 Recommended by John Street JP, John Piper JP, WH Sutton, JP and
Thomas J Hawkins JP, Bathurst. 4/4478 Reel 797 Page 184 State Records NSW.

My husband is related to Richard Halcroft through his daughter Maria Halcroft.  She married Edmund Shreeves in 1884 in Molong NSW.  Edmund's sister Mary Ann Shreeves (Barber) was my husband's great-grandmother.  Phew!

Hi bbong,

I have potential parents of Richard Halcroft/Houlcroft as
Richard Halcroft born around 1783 Cheshire and
mother is Sarah Wilson born around 1784 Cheshire.
I got both of these from familysearch.org

Cheers,
Christine

Hi,

There is a Richard "Houlcroft" who was given a life sentence for stealing money, in the Lancaster Quarter Sessions, 12 July 1826.   He was later transported to NSW on board the "Albion", 21 September 1826.  He received his Ticket of Leave on 1 July 1835 in Bathurst.

Hope this helps.

Christine

Sorry for the delay in replying.  As I mentioned earlier, this isn't my family - I'm researching on behalf of a friend and have had to leave it for a while.
Do you have your tree available anywhere for public viewing?  Mine is on Ancestry.co.uk but currently on private view.  If you have access to Ancestry send me an email and I'll send you permission to view if you are interested.  It is called "McLeod Tullett May 2010".

Cheers
Christine

Further to my earlier message, now it's been transferred to the current Board, the photos have appeared!
What wonderful photos - certainly a real treasure to have.

Hi everyone,

I realise this posting may have closed but I've just discovered it.  I'm researching the Napper family on behalf of a friend, and the above information will be most helpful.  Thank you everyone, for sharing it so kindly :)

I am reseaching the line where Frank Napper (1845-) married Emily White (1842-1909).  Their daughter Florence immigrated to Australia with her husband Percy Tullett in around 1915.

Also the line of Cedric C Napper born 1899, son of Percy JF Napper and Nellie.

Would anyone be interested any sharing any photos with me?

Kind regards,
Christine
