Gloucestershire Lookup Requests / Re: Dinneen - Cheltenham St. Greg. 1853

Thankyou for your help.

THanks also for checking for the birth record, but unfortunately it seems that the parents didn't register the births of any of their children - none of them can be found in bmd registers - that is why the baptism records are so important to me.

Thanks again for this check.
Stewart.

Fabulous, that is so helpful. I think I will go with the Eubale's being the correct family as there are some records in familysearch that say that this is a mutation. I also think it is correct because his first daughter was called rebecca so it being his mum's name makes sense.

Don't suppose you have the marriage of John Eubale and Rebecca around 1784 does anyone?

Thanks again.
Stewart.

I would like to post this lookup request please - will buy the parish registers from Clwyd FHS if it seems worth it.

James Ible (or variant spelling)
Born around 1785 hopefully in MOLD

Joined the Royal Horse Artillery in  1805 and perhaps fought at Waterloo. Discharged 1816 Married 1818 to Martha Griffiths at St. Mary Chester. First census 1841 living in Childer Thornton, Wirral.

Would like to confirm baptism record and perhaps get parents.

Many thanks to anyone who can help find the baptism or help confirm any of this.

Gloucestershire Lookup Requests / Dinneen - Cheltenham St. Greg. 1853
« on: Sunday 23 January 11 12:06 GMT (UK)  »
Could someone please do a check on a baptism / christening for me.

I am looking for David Edward Dinneen and have a reference to a baptism on 18 Aug 1853 at St Gregory's RC Chapel. (I also have the birth as 9th Aug 1853). I have no idea where this information came from or if it is accurate. The parents I have are George Dinneen and Ellen Ring.

The chapel was replaced in 1854 by todays church.

I am particularly interested in the spelling of Dinneen on the record as I cannot find any registration of birth.

I now have 11 possible birth references. Does anyone know how I could narrow these down rather than send off for all 11 birth certificates?

Many thanks.
