Family History Beginners Board / Daniel and Catherine MacKay

Daniel MacKay was born in 1843 in Scotland and died in 1927 in Geraldine, New Zealand. He was married to Catherine and they had a daughter Mary born 1865 in Scotland. They emigrated to New Zealand from Scotland and settled in Geraldine in the South Island. Mary married Alfred Henry Bates. I'd appreciate any information on this family.

Annie Muriel was the youngest daughter of Thomas Wakeham Cranch and Martha May Brown

No I don't think Annie Muriel was in Carterton. I think she grew up in Devonport, Auckland, and after marrying lived on Great Barrier island until after WWII when the family moved to Leigh, north of Auckland. She died in 1963 and had 4 children.

I have Paul Fountain as being the parents of my mother-in-law. She lived in New Zealand and died a couple of years ago. Name was Eva Bertha.

Hi Annie Murial Cranch (1905-1963) and Norman (William Robert) Warren were my grandparents. Muriels father was Thomas Cranch and mother Martha May Brown. Thomas had a sister Maria and parents were William Cranch and Mary Goldsworthy. Hope this helps.

Hi I'm researching my family tree. My grandmother was Annie Muriel Cranch and her father was Thomas Wakeham Cranch and mother Martha May Brown. Thomas' father was William Cranch and mother was Mary Goldsworthy. I believe Thomas had a sister Maria who married a Robertson. Their daughter Nancy Leah married Edward Kidd. Their grandson is my daughter's partner. Small world eh?
