Nice to hear from you cousin. Yes I'm not too far away as I live in Falkirk. Re the names we were given relatives names as middle names.  It would be good if parents even did that these days.  My family moved from the Braes area to Grangemouth in 1969 so I was also interested in Kieran's post. Maybe distantly related to him as well. I was friends with a Kathryn Allison at school in Grangemouth, her dad was Joseph.  I have discovered I am also related to my sister-in-law who is a Campbell, her granny was one of Hugh's descendants. . My 2nd cousin David, who was William's daughter Anne's grandson & my grandfather's sister, has done some work on the family tree.  I will maybe ring him to see what info he has for you. Six degrees of separation and all that.
( I have a similar story on my maternal grandmother's side, I discovered I had a 2nd cousin next to us on our static caravan site she looks more like my gran than my mum and aunt!) My mum and I used to look after the graves at Muiravonside and now its me and my husband that do this.

Hi Frances,

Im sure we would be related.  Have you done your DNA as I have mine done. Best wishes always Cousin Kieran

Re Mary.
The previous post has a 1914 birth but I think incorrect on that document, and correct on another naturalisation document.
But there is a death of a Mary F. Murphy in 1972
Cert says her parents are Charles McNeill & Rose Mellen but dob 22 Dec 1902

This all is correct is there an obituary for her as it will list the husband and children hopefully.

Thank you all do very much for all your help I is so much appreciated

Could Michael Murphy died Dec 1972

John J Murphy died 20 Jul 1998  maybe New York?

Mary Murphy died May 1985 Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Charles Norman McNeill  24 November 1971
Levittown, Bucks, Pennsylvania, United States

Can anyone find these obituaries?

Thanks again for all your help

So much appreciated

Gaffy, excellent work. That moves things along quite a bit.

Ellen uses her maiden name Devlin in the 1901 census.

So is Ellen Devlin - Ellen Keele?

Thank you

Hi all,

Thank you all so much for all your kind help.

I found this family so hard to track.  So i am so greatful of all the help.

I can't recall now how the name Otterson fits in to my family tree.

McKernan is our family name so it fits and so does O'Neill as that would be my great grandmothers side which i know very little as she died in her 40's

I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for helping me piece this together.

Many thanks

Kieran
