Handwriting Deciphering & Recognition / Who's the mother?

Hi,

I have a marriage certificate for an ancestor who was born in Germany and married in Victoria, Australia. The father's name on the certificate is Christof Schlechtweg and his occupation is farmer.
The mother's name however has me stumped. Any help with deciphering the mother's name would be greatly appreciated.

I have come across the Margery Duckett from Conistone, but the Duckett family website has her marrying someone other than Henry Latham, so I guess there must have been more than one person with that name in that area at the time.

Hi,

I was wondering if someone could help me. One of my direct ancestors was Margery Duckett. She married Henry Laytham 10 Jan 1811 at Long Preston, then had four children baptised there between 1811 and 1825. I haven't been able to find baptism for her, plus I also don't know when she died. Henry appears to have been widowed by the time of the 1841 census. I was hoping someone might be able to have access to the parish records for Long Preston because I would love to know the details of the wedding to try and get some idea of where she came from, and also a burial record to hopefully get some details of her age at the time of her death.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks for that Lizzie Jean. That sounds hopeful. You wouldn't think there would be many people around with a name like Gideon Galsworthy.

Is there any one out there with access to the Wembworthy parish records?

Hi,

I was wondering if someone could help me find the baptism for an Ann Galsworthy in the Plymouth area. She married Samuel Kelly 11 Jul 1763 at Charles the Martyr, Plymouth, Devon. The withnesses at the wedding were John Galsworthy and Gideon Galsworthy. Both John and Gideon were married within a few years of Ann at the same parish, so I suspect they were her brothers. I haven't been able to find baptisms for any of them at this stage.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Matilda's surname was Pratten. She married William Forse 19 Aug 1818 at St Michael's, Bath.

Hi Charlotte,

William and Mary Ann were living in Clapham, London in 1901 along with 4 of Mary Ann's siblings. She and William had a child who died in infancy in 1898. I've found William in the 1911 census index plus the children from his first marriage, but no Mary Ann.

Hi,

I was wondering if someone could help me track down a Mary Ann Barbery. Mary Ann was born in Mevagissey, Cornwall in 1871 and married William James Forse in 1898. I've found her in the 1901 census, but can't find her in the 1911 census index. There is no mention of her in the 1923 will of William James Forse. I've looked in FreeBMD and can't find a death for her. I was wondering if they may possibly have divorced.

Any help would be much appreciated.
