Hi Pels:
That is most surely Samuel Longhorn that you have found in New Linthorpe Cemetery. I shall pursue that line and see if Jane is buried there also. Many thanks.

Jane Longhorn was born Jane Kirby in Old Malton but the family moved from there. Samuel Longhorn is shown as from Weaverthorpe in the census data. I have been trying to find records of where either of them are buried and they may well be together. Edith Potter is Jane's daughter and if Jane is not buried with Samuel she may be where Edith and Michael Potter are but again I am unable to find records of burials.

Jane Longhorn died December 6th, 1912 in Gerrick, Moorsholm, Skelton. She was the widow of Samuel Longhorn who died in 1876 in Middlesborough. In the 1911 census Jane was living at Osborne House Farm where her daughter Edith Potter was living. Can anyone assist with locating where Jane would be buried? What is at Osborne House Farm now?

My ggggrandfather was Samuel Longhorn who married Jane Kirby. Samuel married in 1871 and passed away in 1877. I believe both he and Jane are burried at Moorsholm. His parents were Thomas Longhorn and Lois Dickinson. Lois was from Garton on the Wolds and was born in 1804. Does this link to anyone elses interest in Longhorn.
