Hi Steve, My great grandfather was John James brother of your Harry William. My grandfather was the 3rd child of his and Fanny Crookes. John James moved to Sheffield in Yorkshire where he married Fanny and they had 14 children. Many died as children. My grandfather Arthur married Agnes Barlow in Sheffield they moved to Leeds in Yorkshire in 1917. My mother was the youngest of their 6 children she was born in 1924-2000. I am the eldest of 7 children and am married with 2 children of my own. Would love to hear more about Harry, and anything else you know.

Regards  Pat

Hi Jeannie, once again thanks for your help. I now have Vincent and Carrie's children
as Vincent Jnr born 1916, Douglas born 1918, Jean born 1921 and Dennis born 1924.

Harry Windsor married Florence Hannah Raynor 1915. Children were Norman [my father]1924-1975 and Ronald 1927-1940.

Lily born 1887-1971 she never married.

Ethel born 1895-1971 she never married.

Lorraine the granddaughter of Vincent seemed to think Thomas 1864 died 1931 due to a road accident, but has no proof.

Hi JennieR, Thank you very much for your reply. I have Grandad Harry Windsor as having married Florence Hannah Raynor at the address you mentioned.  I would be very grateful for any help you can give me. I am in touch with Lorraine the granddaughter of Vincent, but she knows less than I do about the family.

Hoping to hear from you very soon.

Thanks garrad. Have all this info also 1911 census, but the family seem to go there own ways after this date. My grandfather Harry Windsor Lacey never told us about his family. So we have no idea what happened after 1911.

Once again many thanks.

I am trying to find details of my aunts grave. She was a nurse in or near Ilford. She was killed in a motor scooter accident in 1955 9th January. She had just finished her shift as a district nurse and was on her way home. Other details are very sketchy, but I know there was an inquest and a very big funeral.

Her name was Hilda Farrow. she was 46 years old when she died. She was from Yorkshire.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi I am so pleased I logged on today. It seems we are related . My grandfather was Arthur Farrow son of John James and Phancy Farrow. He married Agnes Barlow in 1901. They had 6 children. My mother was the youngest.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Thanks Cookie. Have all of what you posted.  The Problem I am having is finding them after 1911 census. I know where Harry was but am having trouble finding his siblings.

I have found one second cousin in Kent, but even she cant help. Seems to have been some family rift somewhere.

Thanks for your help anyway.
