Dont know how much you know already.william Douglas Bird was the elder brother of my grandad Robert Howard Bird(b1882). His son Terence(my dad) talked about uncle Will who went to Australia.Dont think he ever met him,. dad during the war came to Australia and told he met his cousins (4 girls).he thought one of them had married a policeman Hands?///. This info is a long way back and dad died in2000.wiiliam also had a cousin Charles Hayward Bird who became Sir, and a Lord Mayor of Cardiff in 1911.The nephew of William by his sister Agnes Bird was Pat Hughes ,who won in the doubles Wimbledon tenniss Championship circa 1938.by Coincidence I also came to australia with family and live in WA.Family gossip was that uncle Will went gold prospecting and disappeared,?
