Lennon Wylie site might help you.
Try this;
www.lennonwylie.co.uk/PT19181.htm
Also
www.archive.org/stream/.../recordsofgeneral03pres_djvu.txt (church records for Islandmagee.

It is known as Islandmagee County Antrim, you could also search under that, many birth/death records on line.

Hi Neil 1821
Impressive!
Might you know anything about the Dorset Reg in India?
My Great grandfather was in the regiment at least 21 years as he got his LS&GCM. He died in Calcutta aged approx 40 sometime 1890-1900, we don't know a year. He joined up in County Antrim probably when the regiment was here/or maybe transferred into it from another regiment. Hard following up that side of the family.
Thanks.

If he was from Islandmagee in County Antrim check out a site called something like Earls Family Chronicles - google Earls Islandmagee.

Richard
Not wishing to be a nuisance but I wonder if you can see if the name William Edward Armstrong appears on the list of RIC constables. He is on the 1911 census as a constable but it may have been in the Belfast Harbour Police.
Do you know any sources I might follow up if it was BHP? He may have been an A Special after his WW1 service, after1915.
Thanks
Mal

Thanks King,
The info much appreciated. Only joined this site yesterday and am most impressed by the knowledge many people show in their replies and their helpfulness.
Plenty to read about the various counties etc.
Regards and thanks again.

Hi Can you help with Holywood Co Down lodge?
I was told my grandfather Hugh Whiteley may have been a founder or senior member of the Holywood Lodge. unfortunately i have no date of birth or death for him but he was alive at the time of the signing of the Ulster Covenant as his signiture can be seen on the PRONI website. I was told his name might have been on a plaque in the Lodge Hall.
Thanks anyway.

Hi
Yes
I chanced to see someone looking info about Whiteleys in Holywood...so joined Rootschat earlier today...
I had their wedding date but not the church.
Eliza died 26/3/1900.
I didn't know about Annabella (2/3/1867) or Mary Jane (17/3/1879).
I had Robert down as 8/4/1882 not 1872. Will check.
There was another child, Margaret born 10/4/1883 (died 27/6/1955) and she was my grandmother.
Are you connected to the family? I have only a little more information about Hugh W and Sarah Dick.
