"England and Wales Census, 1841," database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MQPN-42T : accessed 20 May 2016), Leonard Howson, Clapham, Yorkshire,Yorkshire West Riding, England; from "1841 England, Scotland and Wales census," database and images, findmypast (http://www.findmypast.com : n.d.); citing PRO HO 107, The National Archives, Kew, Surrey.

Halton Ontario family historian (now deceased) says that Leonard & Alice arrived in Halton area in 1840's.  Have found their children from this census who did indeed come to Canada.  Some ended up in Redwing area, some in Huron Co.  What is confusing is that I have found a death record & burial index for an Alice Howson, Settle, Clapham, Yorkshire in 1842.  Can find no record of a death for either Leonard or Alice in Canada.  Have found christenings for children on Dusty Docs Familysearch.org

How would I go about finding if this is correct Alice and that she didn't immigrate to Canada?

Royal Irish Constabulary;

Joseph Tabuteau
Born; 1798, Tullamore, Kings County (Cloneyhurk (this place is just outside Portarlington)
son of; Joseph Brions Tabuteau MD. surgeon in Kings County Infirmary and Eleanor Batt;
An older brother was  JP. for Kings County and a younger brother was Consul for the Netherlands in Dublin.
3rd Sub Inspector; 1/4/1826
Chief Magistrate; 15/2/1832
Resident Magistrate; 1/10/1836
Pensioned as an RM (Resident Magistrate) 14/8/1860 Co Clare
Died; 2/9/1879. (Dublin Register)

I believe individual who became consul to the Netherlands was Bartholomew Moliere Tabuteau 1799-1869 "Knight of the Lion of the Netherlands".  His brother Augustus Elliott 1797-1874 married Ann Marie Manley.

I have not been able to link the "Tabuteau" surname to "Tibeaudo".  Joseph & his wife Ellen Crowe had a son in the clergy, Reverend Augustus Tabuteau who married Mary Eliza Herrick & became curate of St Thomas Anglican Church, Westmorland England.
1 Serpentine Villas, Kendal civil parish, Westmoreland, England
Augustus (Rev.) Tabuteau, age 40, born Ireland, married, Curate Of St Thos Church
Spouse- Mary E.

What I ended up doing (at my significant other's suggestion and with assistance from) was to restore Vista computer back to day before I did bad update instead of following tech from Legacy's instructions (too many places for me to go wrong!).  I was then able to do a successful upload (with my Legacy file open & from the "Legacy Home" tab (which of course had reverted back to time prior to bad Legacy download,  and now have my Deluxe features restored.  In addition, now have a version 7.4.0."39".  Thank you for input.

In the download area menu, choose download update. Instead of download Legacy. That will allow you to download Legacy without having to pay again. Save the downloaded file to your computer and then run the program to reinstall Legacy. Your deluxe features will be retained.

Sincerely,
Brian

Fortunately have an auxiliary hard drive with data & media files backed up with version 7 as they represent a decade of work PLUS a 2nd backup to dvd.......just a bit retentive.  Don't  think a back up after the fact would be a good thing as data as well as program probably corrupted on main hard drive.  Sent my problem to Legacy's tech dept. 2 days ago.  Still waiting for reply so assume there are many of us out there.  Don't know if I want to do a square 1 install to latest version.  My board question is to those of you who had successful download of upgrade,.....do you think new advancements worth it or should I just be happy to reload proven version 7? Never would I trust my living individuals to a genealogy program where at home "stand alone" files could be accessed electronically in a reciprocal manner as I suspect the next generation update will be "all about". Ability to flag files "private" or no.

My woes as well.  Had a perfectly functioning deluxe version 7 of Legacy and updated because advice was that 7.4 would fix "some problems"(ones I wasn't aware of).........now have all of the problems listed on this board.
1. The language file Legacy7.lng is the wrong version.

Expected Version:  28 Apr 2010  07:45:41
Your Version:  25 Mar 2010  15:32:14

To fix this problem you should re-install Legacy.  Go to our web site and click on any of the download links to get the latest version:
www.LegacyFamilyTree.com

2. Can't install it again because my computer says I have the latest 7.4 version.

3. Error message says "not installed properly".  So I say yes then..........See #2.

4. If I bypass error message, I get this one:  "Error searching for Relationship record.
Error 3800: 'IRIDBloodKindLen' is not an index in this table.
Would you like to TRY IT AGAIN?"

5.  I now have a non functioning Standard version of 7.4.  Not impressed.
