It could be that Henry and Alfred's mother were not married, and Alfred was illigitamate, and his birth was registered under the mothers surname, but he used the fathers surname.it is a possibility
UNLESS you are willing to throw some money at certificates, then you should give up on this.ok cheers
We've found you marriage and census (for free) and worthwhile certificate references (which will cost)
Looks like all no-cost resources have panned out.
That's just the way it is.
Pauline
Pauline we have the death references but cant find where buriedThe birth certificate of the infant who died in 1886 should help with Henry's marriage to Elizabeth and therefore Henry's parents.
We havnt found amarriage cert for Henry and Elizabeth(Dont know her last name) or adeath cert for the infant or her, as they died in Stourbridge we contacted the town cemetery as they have buriel info for the council run cemeteries nothing at all as to where they are buried either.Quote
Were the references given earlier (dec 2011) for different deaths in Stourbridge?
West Midlands Marriage indexes for the years: 1906.cheers Jim

Guys ime stuck with this one, Alfred Weedner born 1881 in Stourbridge we believe, we know he married in 1906 Stourbridge to Nelly Boucher, they had 1 daughter Dorothy emily, in 1911 they are listed as living at 2 cemetery road Lye Stourbridge. Where the problem is we cant find any birth record for Albert or any census info prior to 1911 so we dont know who his parents are or his sibblings, ime hoping someone can help. Garry
It would have been better if you explained at the start that Dixon was only a possibility for Betsy's maiden nameSorryUnfortunately, many of the searches I did yesterday were with the surname Dixon so it's quite possible I missed finding the real records.
