Looking at the insciption it's a vault so it may still be there.

Grave H66

In a vault underneath lie the earthly remains of Robert Riley Barber who departed this life on the 14th day of February 1829 aged 55 years. Also Betty Riley his wife who departed this life 7th May 1836 in the 62nd year of her age. Also Christopher Riley of Haslingden who died September 25th 1866 in the 67th year of his age.

I am going up to St James this week and know the location it should be in so will have a look for you.

I have just asked a friend of mine who has photographed all the gravestones at St james and he does not have the one for Robert Riley and Christopher Riley. I know the one you mean as I have a copy of the transcriptions and I have 2 friends who have also looked into the same family so could ask them if they have pictures which may have been taken before it was damaged.

In the 1881 Census there is a James Bradshaw living with the family and there is a marriage on LBMD for a William Taylor to a Janet Bradshaw in 1871 in the Haslingden Registration District.

Looking at the 1851 census for the Bradshaw's she is named Jenetta on that one.

The Marriage took place in Bacup in the Haslingden Registration District so it's probably a bacup address not a Haslingden one.

It could be just a co-incidence that Alice Ann was a witness at the wedding and that she is not Isabella's mother. I will go and have a look to see if I can find an obit and clear it up

That particular Alice Ann Morris is buried at Haslingden Cemetery along with a few others.

BRADSHAW,Hannah   77      4.10.23      71 Deardengate
MORRIS,Alice Ann                58      13.1.36      Blackpool
MORRIS,Catherine Cecilia   53      24.12.07   4 Dale st
MORRIS,Thomas                61      2.10.24      71 Deardengate
MORRIS,William                50      21.6.09      Blackpool

I only have the records until 1968 so there may be others in as well.

I was going to check the newspapers after tea to see if the obits throw up any clues.

I have the MI's for St James and also have a copy of the Grave Book for the later Burials at St James for people who bought graves after 1872 although I have to add that it was not kept strictly up to date but there is a lot of information in those books.
If you want any lookups just send me a PM.
