Hi,
Do you know the date please?

Leanne

Hi Leanne   The only information I have is my Uncle's Service Number 1454360 Pilot Officer Frederick Wills and a letter from the King inviting him to attend the palace on the 30th July 1945.

Thanks  Mike

Could anyone advise me if it is possible to obtain information why my uncle Eric was awarded the DFM?  Though I have the medal and letters from the Palace, there is no citation document.  Would love to know!!!

Thanks Mike

I had a quick play :)

That's amazing!!! The owner of the photograph will I am sure be highly impressed.  It is I understand over 100 years old.... after your work you would think looking at the young man in the photo he had just come out of the local gym. lol

What an amazing photo packed with treasures.  Now that would be a challenge, I wonder if a colour version will ever appear?
