Worcestershire Lookup Requests / Cradley Baptism Request
« on: Tuesday 28 March 23 13:18 BST (UK)  »
Hi all, I am trying to find out where a Mary Ann Jones was baptized. It was in Cradley on 14/11/1825 but I can't find where. Could be the Park Lane Presbyterian or the parish church. I don't know if anyone can help please?  :)

Worcestershire / Mary Ann Jones Non Conformist or C of E?

Hi, I am back again for more help and guidance if possible please. I have found a baptism of Mary Ann Jones (daughter of John and Susannah Jones) on 14/11/1825. The entry says Cradley but doesn't say if it is the Unitarian Chapel or the Parish church. Is there any way to find that out. Thanks in advance.  :)

Thank you. This is really useful because as you say it helps with dating his birth. :)

This is definitely the family but finding John's parents is the problem and as you say with a common name that makes it even more difficult. I wonder why they had one child baptized in a Unitarian church and the rest in C of E? Thanks for your help by the way.

Thank you that is helpful but I didn't realize that fathers wren't on early records. I am trying to find out his father's name. On the 1851 census he declares his age as 60 and place of birth as Edgbaston. But, I can't find any birth in 1791 that matches.
I can find a John Jones son of John and Esther Jones born 8 November 1789 and christened at St Bartholomew’s Edgbaston and a John Jones born on 9 August 1789 son of John and Mary Jones and christened at the New Meeting House Moor Street-Unitarian, Birmingham. Not sure what to ry next but thanks again for the marriage info.

Many thanks for that.

Can anyone help with this at all please? I have a marriage between John Jones and Susanna Priest on 18/08/1822 in Old Swinford but searches on Ancestry etc only give the names of the married couple and a date. There is no image or additional detail. I am trying to find out more detail such as parents' names, occupation, witnesses etc. This detail often seems to be there but not in this case. Is there a way to get more detail? Any help would be great. Thanks  :)
