Hello again Peter
Thanks you for your help. I am afraid that the only information I have on John is his name on Georges marriage certificate.
As for George he was born in Faddiley abt 1818 and married Betsey Boote on 28th January1839 in Wrenbury. She was born in Newhall.  I have a copy of the certificate, their ages are full and residence at the time of marriage is Sound. Their children were born in the villages of Burland/Faddiley/Sound/Brindley.
In 1841 they were living in Burland, 51 Faddiley, 61 Acton Village.
On the 1861 census there are 2 visitors  Ann Bennett aged 30 who  might be Georges sister she was born in Acton and   a child Joseph aged 8 months/Nantwich.
George died in 1866 and Betsey in 1885.
I am trying to find out when George was born and also any information on John. As I cannot find out via census and other infomation  on line does this mean I have to visit the records office, I would be grateful for any help you can give me.
Many thanks

Could you help please. I am looking for any information on a John Bennett and his family. Sorry but I don't know who he married.  He was the father of George who was born about 1818 and lived in Sound, Wrenbury, Chester at the time of his marriage in 1839.  I have Georges marriage certificate and all the information I have is his fathers name, and it gives Georges age as full.

Firstly please accept my apologies for not getting back to you sooner. I had to go away unexpectedly and only returned this afternoon.
Thank you  very much for the information on the family of George and Elizabeth.
I have only recently started to delve into my ancestors and now look forward to trying to find out about George and Elizabeth's parents.
Again many thanks for the information.

Yes I also found that...but not 100% certain it is her as the birthplace is Newall and not Wrenbury.
Thanks again for your time and effort

I would be most grateful for any information on the family of Philip Bennett born 13th March 1858 in Burland, Cheshire. His father was George - sorry but I have no information at all on him. He is not on the 1871 census, only have his name from Philips birth certificate.
Philip and his mother Elizabeth were living in Acton in 1871.

Philips mother Elizabeth - nee Boote was born in Wrenbury abt 1812.
