Thanks so much for this info- Coming to Scotland in September so I ant to try to catchup with any relations- any ideas on this?? I suppose tracking Donald or Grace, but I think both emigrated- Grace to New Zealand and maybe married a McDonald, and Donald I think to the Klondyke?
regards

Catherine arrived as an orphan in 1849 aged 17, married a JohnCarlton? Smith, and lived in Sydney.

Hi
I am looking for information on John McLauchlan born around 1831 near Dunkeld. This seems to be McLauchlan area. He migrated to Australia in 1870 and married a Catherine Smith. Have no other info on him Maybe a brother migrated also to New Zealand and was related to an Alexander McDonald- maybe his son. I am visiting Scotland in September and would love some leads.  :)
