This is a photograph of my Wife's Uncle who was killed at Dunkirk on 28 May 1940.  Would it be possible to have it enhanced?

Armed Forces / Identification of Medals and Cap Badge

I would be most grateful if the medal with the grey ribbon could be identified.  I am reasonably confident of the others in the group but confirmation would be appreciated.   I also attach a picture of a cap badge:  can anyone please identify it?   Any response would be very much appreciated.
