The colliery at Fallin was Polmaise very militant throughout the miners strike if you google Polmaise there is quite a bit of info out there. It also gives you a sense of the conditions they were made to work in pre nationalisation. You will find lists of those miners killed in accidents it also gives their ages really sad when you read the lists.

Don't remember much about my gran but Ned certainly lived with Belle for a lot of years.
I spoke with your aunt tr. she's gonna have a search and see what she can find I'm hoping to go visit soon so I'll remind her & your uncle d. when I see them.

someone was enquiring about the blocks in Fallin Ned lived at 19b Block Fallin

About the two Ryan girls Anne & Helen never knew their dad as far I know Rosina (their mum was a widow) I'm phoning my sister tonight she was friends with the girls and will have more info than me.

 don't know if this will be of help or not used to go to fallin lots the ryan's we knew were
anne and helen. there mother was rosina not sure about the spelling as far as iknow both the girls are still in fallin

my mother was ned somervilles eldest daughter margaret (peggy). alas the last somerville in fallin my uncle jim died he was the last of neds sons living in fallin.
