Hi LMDaly
Fantastic to here your connection to my tree.

The Nathan you found is my 3 x grandfather born Culcheth 25 Oct 1841,
( Leigh ,21/464).
His father Nathan Silcock (Snr),  Silk Weaver, born Culcheth,6 may 1820.
His mother Alice Parker,Silk Weaver, (do not have birth date yet) married 4 Aug 1839 St Oswald's  Winwick.

Nathan & Alice(Parker) had two children David b1839 & Nathan (Jnr)1841.
Nathan died 13 Aug 1843 ,age 23, of Consumption.
Alice disappears about the same time (cannot work out date of death).
The children were left with the grand parents(David with Thomas Silcock &
Nathan with Elizabeth Parker).

I would love to know what happend to Alice but find it hard due to it being a
popular name and to many possible matches.Any help & info on the Parker's
would be much appreciated.

Thanks Martin.  email   martin.silcock@bigpond.com.au

Thanks all
Sounds a long slow trip to Carlisle.
According to James wife he left with a bad cold & would not stay home,he got worse on the trip and had to tell the stoker what to do & died on trip back of Influenza & Cardiac Failure.
The stoker told his wife he did not miss a signal on the trip.
