Thank you for that information. I put some of my family tree (the Bonivert side) on http://www.geneanet.org/ today maybe I will link up with someone. I still have more info to input but I got the basics in. I did look into Marie Catherine it said that she was born 5-28-1820 in Liege ,Belgium. Not sure if she is a link or not. ...maybe an aunt?? I didn't find any Joseph Bonivert's on there.I have never done this type of research so I have really appreciated your input and suggestions. I did see that same document that said his Birthplace was EEL...no idea what that means. I still have to check out the two marriages in Nord as well.

I believe his birth name is Joseph P Bonivert. He has gone under the names of P.J. Bonivert, Pascal Bonivert, Paschel Bonivert, Peter Bonivert from documents I have found when he was in Grass Valley. He did have a son with the same name of Joseph P. Bonivert. So far I haven't located any Boniverts in the lille archives, but I was only searching births. Thanks for your help I appreciate it

I went to the Nord Archives website. I input what I could and it came back with 1014 naissances (birth?) between 1833-1842. I dont mind searching through that but I am not able to read the fancy hand script from that time period or maybe it time for me to get glasses???   When I go to the website genealogy.tm.fr it comes back with the following info....however I can not speakor read french.....
