Thank you all!!
I can’t find them on the Ellis Island website but that all makes much more now.
Does the “Through Budapest” indicate they were heading to Budapest?

Thanks for replying 😊
I have John, Suzanna and John Sieradski onboard the “Cedric” from New York to Liverpool on 11th July 1913. They then appear in the 1921 census using the surname Sieretsky before changing their name to Roscoe.
I’ve looked for various spellings of their surname travelling to America but can’t find anything .

Thank you. I’m struggling!!

If they were rejected would they show on a passenger list going to America?

Also the ships log shows they travelled through Budapest. Doe that mean they travelled from Budapest to America?

Hello,
In 1913 the “Cedric” (White Star Dominion Line) took passengers to the UK who were rejected by US Authorities!
How would I find out where they travelled from or which ship they tried to get to America on?
Any help would be very much appreciated.

I spotted the papers Mabel, shame there doesn't seem to be too much info on I F-R. X

We're under the impression she may have been a housekeeper so yes, nursing may well have been another option. She was later a housekeeper to a family in Guildford and met quite a few actors & actresses there. We did wonder if there was a connection with the actors somewhere.

Ooooh now there's a thought. We're all still baffled as to why she left her young family. (My mum was about 2 years old when she left)
