London and Middlesex / Re: Decendents of Charles William Goodman

I am looking for any info anybody has regarding Charles William Goodman's Mother Jane Goodman, aka Jane Richards, born Jane Spurr in Nottingham 1854, aka Elizabeth Goodman 1901 aka Elizabeth Banfield in 1891.  This lady was my great grandmother but I have no idea of her date of death or the name she died under!

Charles William Goodman was my Grand-Mother's half brother and my great grand-mother was living with him as a housekeeper in 1911 in Poplar/Hackney area.

I am looking for descendents of Jane (nee Spurr) Goodman, she was also known as Jane Richards, Elizabeth Goodman and Elizabeth Banfield, born Nottingham 1853, lived in Bedford Street circa 1881 to 1885. Her 3 children were: -

John Henry Goodman, born Leicester in 1876. Married in Epsom, Surrey in 1908 and died in Portsmouth in 1955. I believe he may have lived on the IofW.

Charles William Goodman, born Leicester in 1879. Died in Hackney in 1953. I believe he lived in Lark Road area of Bethnal Green in 1911 and was a cameraman and married Ester and had a son Edward John Henry and a daughter Esther Elizabeth.

Eliza Emma (nee Richard) Murray born Leicester 1883, married Epsom 1904, died Brighton, Sussex 1958

There is a video on the Guardian site that details some history of Highbury Quarant. My parents lived on Petherton Road and much of that area changed in the late 1940s and mid 1950s, bomb damage followed by a clearence of old large Victorian houses that made way for a lot of blocks.

The Aged Pilgrim's Home as the old Workhouse was called in the 1950s (when I was kid in Hornsey Rise) was on St John's Way.

St John's Way ran from the Archway Junction to Hazelville Hill, where the Queens Head was and the fish and chip shop.

Are you mixing up St John's Way with St John's Street that ran from the Angle down in to Smithfield Meat Market?
