Oh and I have been to Pasture Houses, tho never inside, so I know exactly where they stand.
As a child in the 1960s we used to go to Alston / Garrigill quite often and my Dad showed my Pasture Houses and we went past them many times

Waterford / May of Waterford
« on: Monday 22 March 10 12:37 GMT (UK)  »
Hello there
Does anyone know of the May family from Waterford.
My Mam's mother came from Waterford, she was Francis May married and name became Francis Willis.
But I don't know where she married, Ireland or England. I think she died in 1967 in her 80s  I think!.
I do now that my Mam went to school in Scotswood Newcastle upon Tyne, but no idea how long here mam was here from Ireland.

If you know any thing - Thanks,

Paul.

Hi

I Believe that my father Peter Clay Watson, lived at Pasture Houses, Garrigill, as a young man, he was born 1926 and I believe he was still living there during the WWII.
