I just noticed the other requests from the first post.
The church where the Brouns are buried (and Margaret baptized in 1812) is Presbyterian. There's a plaque inside the church listing all the ministers of the church back to the Reformation.
From the Old Parochial Records of Whittinghame:
"22 June 1831 This day James Laurie in the parish of Garvald and Margaret Brown in this parish gave in their names for Proclamation in order to marriage and were married accordingly."
From the Births, Marriages and Deaths of Haddington:
"On 17th of May 1879 at Barberfield, Haddington, Margaret Lawrie, died aged 66; married to James Lawrie, farmer, and the daughter of James Brown, farm servant, and Margaret Goodall, both deceased. Informant: James Lawrie, widower."
