Hello again Jill
What a wonderful surprise to have your phone call this evening!     We are much looking forward to seeing you soon, hopefully.
May I suggest we exchange email addresses soon, to simplify contacts.
Best wishes and love to your parents,
Ian & Maureen

Hello Gill,
Many thanks for your email.    I would certainly be fascinated to know some details about Martha Cook and her family, please.

I am in fact descended from the same Josiah Welch, b.1836, whom you have discussed.    You have obviously worked very hard and cleverly to uncover his true status as the illegitimate son of Jane, and I am most interested to know of it.    I guess this means I should now be adding a further "Great" to Timothy Welch?

My Grandfather was Charles Amos Welch, b. 1862.   He died before I was born, but as a child I do remember visiting his brother, Great Uncle George.     I think my father also had cousins living in Manchester and Bedford, and we went to Manchester once to meet them.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Regards    Ian
(P.S.   I don't suppose your parents are D. & V. G........?   In which case we are more closely related than I realised!)

Hello Jill,
Whilst casually surfing the net I was very interested to come across this correspondence about Timothy Welch, who was born around 1790.    He was in fact my Great Great Grandfather, so we are obviously  distantly related!
I am wondering whether you have possibly been able to unearth any further information about his antecedents since the last posting in 2006?
Regards
Ian
