Thank you for all the replies, both these individuals were born in Luxey, Landes, Aquitaines. I don’t know if that helps with trying to discern what dit etc, etc, means.

Thank you Trish, it’s interesting, but on the 1951 census she gave her birthplace as Harlow, although there is no sign of her there on the Essex Archives online site. Another brick wall!

Thank you for your kind responses. I think Sarah Painters birth date and parentage will have to remain a brick wall mystery!

Essex / Barnaby Bakers wife.
« on: Friday 11 April 25 23:37 BST (UK)  »
My husband's 4x Gt Grandmother Sarah Painter, was married to Barnaby Baker on 21 st February 1798 in Theydon Mount Essex. He was born 1775. They had at least 2children, Benjamin 1808 and Samuel 1811. Some trees suggest Sarah was born in Essex in 1781 ( Harlow or Little Baddow) but I have been unable to find her birth. Searched Essex Archives on line, and the usual genealogy sites.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Only clue we have is Sgt Delves written on the back. We don’t know which member of the family this could be.
