The Stay Safe Board / Re: Diary summary week ending 12th January 2025

Sorry to hear about Brigdmac's mother and the flooding. At 94, there is a lot to deal with.

I am in Tauranga, New Zealand, and the sun is streaming into the house. Temperatures have been in the 30-degree range.

Well, I am off to a good start to 2025. I have just been told I can come off dialysis for a while. I still need to go in and have my line cleaned once a week as they are not removing it. It has to be kept for future use.
A very Happy Carol in NZ.

Take care in the snow and ice and stay warm.

Not much happened here. 11.55pm all quiet. Midnight yelling and fireworks till 3 am.
Just need to put 2025 instead of 2024 and another year older.
Way past celebrating. Will leave that to the younger generation.

Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year.
Being in New Zealand we celebrated nearly 10 hours ago. A nice fine but windy day.
All the best for the New Year.

It says, Father John Alfred Fletcher.
I can't take out a free trial as I am waiting for a new card. The chip in my card stopped working on Christmas Eve, so I need a new card.

To all a very Merry Christmas.

I have gone from 3 days a week on dialysis (4 hrs each time) to 2 days a week still 4 hrs.

Glad to hear Mousehouse is making slow progress and Caroline's daughter-in-law has a new Kidney.
Victoria enjoy your new addition to your family. RTL enjoy your holiday, you deserve it. To everyone else with health issues, I hope improvement is on the way in 2025.
Here's to a great New Year.

Ancestral Family Tree DNA Testing / Re: DNA testing

Just thought I would update you.
We found my son's grandfather.
One third cousin had a big tree, so I made different trees on my computer and managed to link in cousins who only had nine people in their tree. Death notices came in handy, as they gave me more names.
Now on to my tree to see if I can break down some of my brick walls.

I have a wristband, so if I need an ambulance, it goes to their base. They can assess my needs and send the help I need. I also have a fob attached to my key ring, so if I am away from home, help is just a press away. (It is GPS monitored.)
Loverly Spring day here (NZ) but rain is coming from tomorrow.
