Gower is correct, William had 8 Children, the last two are my Uncle William George born 1899 and my G'Father Charles John (Johny) born 30 Jun1901. William's birth not in State cIndex but up at Gawler and he died in WW1.

Yes So I have connections through to both the Millingtons and the Gowers. As JE Gower died on the 18 Jan 1884 at Williamstown (4 Children born, two married). W Johnson & George Ann were married on the 12 Mar 1887 at St George Church Gawler. My G'Father was Charles John Johnson.

This birth is could be hers, but a fellow researcher has her parents as John (Who come out on the Oithona and landed at Portland in 1855) and Bridget Teague. As one of her daughters is named Bridget Ann it leads weight to this being so.

Hi,

Yes, that is my line. Some of Thomas's line is in Queensland (He was born as Jansen) The parents got married actually on the 8 apr 1855 at Catholic Church West Terrace in Adelaide His father come over from Germany as Jansen (But changed it to Johnson, although one relative uses Johnstone) on the Wandrahm from Varel and is most probably Swedish has the wide variation in surname.

Mary Ann is Registered as Gonsen, William (My mother's G'father) is Ludwig Wilhelm Ferdinand Ganzen, he died in 1951 as Johansen - buried Langmeil Tanunda I live in Adelaide SA

There may also have been a Margaret -no birth date known.
All are children of William Ferdinand Ludwig Johnson & Margaret Johnson (nee Ryan) .  Most of the children married in SA, but I cant find any birth details.  I'm wondering if they were born in Vic or NSW. 
William F.L. came from Denmark and his surname may have been Johannsen or similar and he changed it to Johnson on arrival in Aust. He died in SA in 1887 age 68. His wife Margaret came from Ireland, & died in SA in 1919 age 82.  I haven't got a marriage for William and Margaret either, at least not in SA.

Here's hoping someone can shed some light.
