Ancestral Family Tree DNA Testing / Re: Custom Clustering from Ancestry
« on: Tuesday 28 October 25 20:56 GMT (UK)  »
I am really unclear what issue this clustering will help with.

I tried a match of 55cmorgans, who shares my grandmothers maiden name

I doesn’t really help much

The standard match won’t work at all for me

At present the cluster tool cannot work for me so was hoping the custom would.
Don’t have the custom clustering yet

Anyone know how to access the Times after 1921 at the end of the Times Digital archive.

I accessed a couple of obits of family members in the 30’s some years ago.
Can’t find out how to now, any ideas?

Just found that the John Desboro in my tree is Sir John Desborough (other spellings seen), was a prominent parliamentarian, and married Jane Cromwell, Oliver’s sister

This is pretty much what I assumed (Didn’t want to bias any answers)
Ydna testing has not helped, so far
So revisiting possible births in England and Scotland
I assume 1731-1735

My 4 greats grandfather was apprenticed in 1747
This is the earliest record of him.

Question is what was the. Normal age for this to begin,

He was apprenticed to be a clockmaker for 7 years
