Wexford / Re: KEHOE-KIRWAN-DALY-O'TOOLE-KINSELLA-HUDSON

Hi Dianne,

I have a common interest in the Kehoe's of County Wexford, I too have a Moses Kehoe!  I don't think it's the same Moses as yours though.  My Moses Kehoe was the father of Catherine (my great, great grandmother) born in Kilmore, County Wexford in 1857.  Catherine left Ireland sometime before 1880 and moved to Lancashire, England where she married my Great, Great Grandfather John Craig (also born in Ireland).

I also made a trip to Ireland two years ago, I was lucky that I discovered their towns of birth from the 1911 census before I went, however it didn't help much as I wasn't able to locate the records I was looking for.

Where your Kehoe's Roman Catholic?  Catholic records were mostly in Latin, I missed the record I was looking for, I discounted the one I found as I didn't realise that the latin for Moses is Edanus.  It was only after I returned to Canada that I was told.
Check this site, it's Kilmore records but there are several Kehoe records on there, you never know your Kehoe's could be from Kilmore too & we could be realted....lol

Montgomeryshire / Looking for the Family of Robert J Williams llangadfan
« on: Saturday 13 March 10 21:54 GMT (UK)  »
I'm trying to trace the family of My Maternal Grandfather Robert John Williams Born 17th March 1887 in Llangadfan (I have his birth certificate).  His fathers name was Robert Williams born around 1851, his mother was Ann Hughes born around 1858.

The family moved to Runcorn, Cheshire when he was about 3 years old.  The 1891 census has the place of birth for all members of the family as Holyhead, Wales.  I know from My mother the birth certificate I have is correct as my Grandfather told my Mum that his was born in Montgomeryshire & that he was born on St. Patricks day.

The 1911 Cenus has My Grandmother Ann Williams (widow), living in Runcorn with her youngest son, it has her place of birth as Llanfair, Montgomeryshire.
it also states that Ann had 7 children, My mother only ever heard about 4 of them but I have discovered from Cenus returns from 1891 - 1911 another 2 children.

There were;
Owen Williams born about 1876
Alice Williams born about 1883
Edward Williams born about 1885 LLansainffraid, I think
Robert John born 17/3/1887
John Thomas born March 1895 Runcorn
Annie Williams born 1900 Died 1910 Runcorn
there must have been another child somewhere in between.

I'm hoping that someone can help point me in the right direction as to where I should go from here.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
