Hello James this is the brother of my grandfather, Job. The foundry was started by Thomas' sons, Charles b. 1899, Dennis b.1896, Joseph b. 1891 and Leonard (?). If you need more info, eg; look at the tree give me a message or mail me at jam-griATTonline.no.  We also have a Family Facebook page for the Vowles' and Griffiths decendants to meet up.

I thought I'd bump this one again.
Here's something I have:
Quote
"26 Jan 1794 – St Thomas, Dudley,  By Banns  Edward Griffiths, B, Of this Parish  Sara Male, S, Of this Parish  Wit : Eliza Underhill and Joseph Bond (All Signed)
igi pilot search: Name: Edward Griffith  Baptism/Christening Date: 11 Dec 1770  Baptism/Christening Place: Tipton, Stafford, England  Father`s Name: Richard Griffith  Mother`s Name: Elizabeth  Indexing Project (Batch) Number: C39464-2 System Origin: England-EASy  Source Film Number: 1526134 Reference Number: -  Collection: England Births and Christenings, 1538-1975"

Can anyone help me find Who Richard & Elizabeth are?
Thanks
Shay

Thank you for your time, Phil. Most probably the Martley Griffiths' are not my family. I'll have to try the Tipton forum now :)

Again thank you for all your help. Have a great week.

I would appreciate that Phil, but don't use all your holiday on me!  :)

Have a nice weekend.

Easy mistake with so many dates to write. So you did'nt see Edward born between Mary and James? Pity, that would have fit me great.
Thanks again for your help.

Hi Shay

This was done today (4th SEP) from Martley parish register film

Firstly the MAR was on 9 FEB 1796 after Banns not 1755 as you said

Children are
15 MAY 1758 Sarah d/o Richard/Elizabeth Griffiths
31 AUG 1760 Richard s/o    "           "            "
17 OCT 1762 John s/o          "          "            "
19 APR 1764 Thomas s/o      "          "            "
7 DEC  1766 Betty d/o           "          "           "
5 MAR 1769 Mary d/o            "           "           "
13 DEC 1772 James s/o         "          "            "
4 APR 1774 Ann d/o              "           "            "
3 MAY 1776 William s/o         "           "            "

I went on searching till 1784 but stoped then as Elizabeth would have been about 43 when she gave birth to William - I started my search in 1776 by the way

All the very best

Phil
If the marriage was in 1796, would they have had all those children born between 1758 & 1776? :)
