My late mother told me about this school, she recalled how she had to carry a gas mask at all times during WWII.
She was born in 1928 so I presume it was a secondary school.

I also have a relative that was in this prison on the 1881 & 1891 census.
His name was Harry Lockley b1856 in Birmingham his trade in 1871 census was a lock maker.
Would be nice to find out what offence he committed.

Staffordshire / 1861 census address
« on: Monday 03 January 11 21:36 GMT (UK)  »
I have come across an address on a census that is confusing.
It states that William Spittle b1797 in Tettenhall, Staffs lived with his family at
Wightwick Footpath, Dog Kennel, Tettenhall, Staffs.
I was wondering if this might have been a canal boat.
I looked up the web page for Wolverhampton Boat People and discovered that other people's surname from the census sheet was on this site.
The site says it concerns church records, not census.
Anybody got any ideas.

Hi Jack,

Yes, any information regarding the families of James Pinson Cosby & Edith Smith would be appreciated.
Elizabeth Edith Crosby was married to my uncle Albert Lockley.
