Dublin / Death record Margaret Mary Bowe
« on: Saturday 09 April 11 17:35 BST (UK)  »
I am trying to find the death record for Margaret(Maggie) Mary Bowe. She is mentioned in the 1911 census living in Clontarf East Dublin with her husband Michael and family.Michael married again in 1915 after her death.I have applied for her death certificate covering these years at the registry office in Roscommon but they have no record.I have searched the Dublin cemeteries but with no success.Michael is buried in Deans Grange.
She was born Margaret Dooley in 1877 in Waterford.I have searched what records there are for Waterford in case she was buried near her family but still no sign.
The lack of information stumps me and I would be grateful for any help or advice.

This realy made me laugh.Just in case I had no luck with an e-mail address I put a letter in the post yesterday to cover all bases.
Any theory why they do not respond? Most cemeteries are usualy very helpful and have a good archivest on site.
From the website articles I assume it is still a working cemetery.

Will let you know if I strike lucky.

Thanks again

Best wishes

I am trying to find the death record for Julia Bowe nee Byrne. She is in the 1930 New York census but never returned to the U.K. with my father in 1936.He said she died of a brain tumour.
Her D.O.B. is 03/07/1902 and she was Dublin born.
Their address was in the Bronx. They never lived anywhere else in the U.S.
There is no record of her death in the Irish or U.K. B.M.D.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks for these responces.
Yes this is the family in St laurence road, and they did spend time in Birmingham but like you I found no evidence in British bmd.
My father remembered saying goodbye to her before going to school in Dublin c.1912 and then never seeing her again.
She is not buried in the family plot either.
If the name is mistransscribed I do stand little chance.
I am going to apply for a death certificate for the Margaret Mary Bowe(Sorry, I did omit to say her middle name was Mary)listed in the civil registration index for 1911 on the assumption the age at death could have been mistranscribed(is this possible).
Thanks again for all your efforts.
