My Goodness! I never realized what at talented bunch of people can be found at this site. I am amazed what all of you have been able to accomplish given the qualility of the original. My hat is off to you all.

Thank you once again.

Thank you all for your efforts restoring my photo. You are all very talented. It is amazing what can be done with what looks like non-fixable photos.

I really appreciate your help.

Attached is a photograph of my great grandmother Louisa Staker with son George c. 1915. It is a scan of a large 16 x 12 photo that has been folded and damaged in the past. Any help to restore this picture would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Attached is a tin type photo reported to have been taken in Kent, England (perhaps Margate) at the end of the 1800's. Can some one provide an accurate dating and confirmation of English origins.

Thanks

Thanks for your help. My information on Edward Charman for the 1861 census comes from a 1837online.com transcription. It definitely says Edward (age 20 b.~1841) was the grandson of John and Mary.  The Edward Charman in the 1841 and 1851 census appears to have been born in 1838-1839. So it is possible that the two Edwards are different.  If anyone has the opportunity could you look up Elizabeth Charman or Lucas in 1851 census for Dorking to check if there is a Edward Charman or Lucas (age 10) living with her. I have evidence that Elizabeth Charman married a Henry Lucas in 1841.

Cheers

Hi

I am looking for Edward Charman (b 1841, Dorking) in 1841 or 1851 census for Dorking. In 1861 Edward (age 20) is living in Dorking with his grandparents John Charman (b.1795 Capel) and Mary Charman (b 1794, Leigh). I have some evidence that his mother was Elizabeth Charman (b abt 1815). I would be interested to find info on Edward and any family members living with John and Mary Charman in 1841 and 1851.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Kent Completed Lookup Requests / Ann Castle 1841 and 1851 Kent Census Look up Request
« on: Tuesday 22 February 05 03:20 GMT (UK)  »
Hi

I am looking for an Ann Castle (b. 1840 in Ash Kent). She is likely to have been living in Ash (next Sandwich), Woodnesborough or Staple (Shatterling) in 1841 or 1851. Although I am not absolutely sure, I think that her parents were Jessey (Jeffrey) (b Ash ~1809-1811) and Mary Castle (or Cassell) (b. Ash, 1823-25). In 1851 she might be listed with a brother Jeffrey (Age ~7). I would appreciate it if anyone could look up 1841 and 1851 census and provide me information on possible candidates for Ann Castle.

Thanks in advance.

Neil
