Thanks I did see that one but thought the year was a bit out. I know that is more than possible so have it as a "likely". Many thanks.

My 4xgt grandmother was Mary MOROWLEE b ca 1774/75 in Newcastle ( according to the 1851 Hull Yks census). Mary married William SIDDELL in Hull Yks in 1800. I have no idea who her parents were or exactly when she was born. Any links?

Yes  the children are:
Martha, Mary Ann, Hannah, George, and Elizabeth.
However, although I don't know where Mary's husband William SIDDELL/SIDDLE was born, I know his surname is fairly common in that region too and the children may have been named after his parents or relatives?
I have noticed the Moralee and Morley derivatives but can't pinpoint her actual birthplace.

Thanks for the welcome. Here are the census details:
1851 census-2 Mabbs Entry High St. Hull. Mary Siddle Widow   wife's grand (mother) 78  labourer's wife, (living with her grand-daughter & family), born Newcastle on Tyne. (LDS Film 087636 HO107/2362 Folio388v  Page 21 )
The 1841 census notes her bn Yorks, but since she died 1852 I can't verify birthplace and I am going on the premise that the 1841 data is possibly incorrect.

My 4xgt grandmother was Mary MORROWLEE b ca 1774/75 (Year of birth estimated from census & age at death).
Mary noted her place of birth as Newcastle on the 1851 census. She married William SIDDELL in 1800 in Hull E.Yks and died there in 1852.
If anyone has the name/s in their family tree, or is able and kind enough to take a look in *any* parish register in Newcastle or surrounding area it will help to eliminate or confirm her birth.
