Gloucestershire Lookup Requests / Re: Lookup Challenge Bristol Record Office
« on: Wednesday 16 July 14 08:57 BST (UK)  »
Hi Lindsey,
I was interested to come across your posting about John Garmston. I am descended from this John through his son John Garmston but have little information. I have John jnr's 1752 Will and more about the descendants of his daughter Sarah Garmston who married Robert Gordon in 1754 in Bristol.
I wonder where your connection with the family is? Would love to hear from you.
Best wishes

Hi Andrea,

I came across the Laytons while looking for my aunt's family - Townsends who emigrated to New Zealand in 1850.
I have been able to find the Layton family who seem to be mostly Tea Brokers or Colonial Produce brokers many living in Lime St, City of London.

Frances m. Edward Townsend
Elizabeth b.c.1758 m. James Oram Clarkson
Ann b.c.1767  m. Andrew Crew Greville
John b.c.1750 m. Mary Kellaway
James b.c.1766 m. 1. Maria Hillyard, 2. Sophia Clarkson
Charles b.c.1768 m. Matilda Bryett
Andrew m. 1. Susanna Crew Meggs, 2. Frances Parr

The daughter of Andrew and Ann Greville, Margaret Anna Greville b.c. 1797 m. William Webb Chapman.

I have found out more about the descendants of some of them so if you think this may fit in your family please let me know.
I have not been able to find the parents of these children - any clues?

Best wishes

I came across this posting while looking for Laytons in Putney. I also have wills for John and Mary Layton and I do know where the Chapman fits in with them
I realise your posting was rather a long time ago but if you would like to compare Layton info please get in touch.

Hi Vivien,
I am going to have to read up on the Help pages to figure out how to get in touch with you privately.
I have recently been doing some searching for a cousin, came across Henry Stackpole Parker and your postings came up in Google.

Will be in touch.

I am new to this and not sure how it all works.
This is not strictly related but I would very much like to get in touch with Newbe_nz and VivienR about Henry Stackpole PARKER who is new to my research.

Cheers
