This is my line too. I'm descended from John and Elizabeth's son John (1802-86). I'm stuck in the same place. I did hear from somewhere that a vicar's wife had used the parish records to light the fire at some point, so there's no connection from our John back to the vast number of previous Fullagars elsewhere in Kent. Perhaps we'll never know....
Were you aware that both James and his son were transported to Tasmania? I have the details if you haven't.
