Hi, Excellent!

In all these years have never been able to get hold of one 8~(
My Father used to take me to watch Don and Derick when i was a nipper in the Gold Flash combo we had then, i was too young to appreciate it then but loved going into the pits as "Family".

But i make do with a '69 Bonni, '68 Thunderbolt, '58 Road Rocket and a 350 AJS 8~)
Wife not too impressed says i cant ride them all at once! But then she cant wear all her shoes at once ;).

I must admit i'm impressed by the friendliness on this forum.

Nice to meet you and good luck with your searches

Kind Regards
Steve

Hi Richard,

Well that started to thrown some light on the picture! Thank you.

Interesting how some of the Rolls children, we have a Frank 11 and a Thomas 16 don't appear plus some older siblings also, that had probably moved away.

I guess could be infant mortality maybe that also accounts for Frederick Rickman missing 10 years later! I wonder in what month they took the census, I guess it would put Frederick's DOB @ 1901.
But maybe they were put to work as children back then.

Thank you very much for your assistance, that is really helpful, i really appreciate it.

Kind Regards

Steve

Hi Richard,
Thank you that's very kind indeed! Funny my Father was born in Wimbourne as you can see from my first post.
I must say i'm new to all this but everyone seems so very helpful. I am struggling a bit at the moment with the Rickman and Rolls side.
Even on my Mothers side (Moore) there seems to be so many repetitive forenames, handed down father to son.

That would be very kind Richard and help greatly appreciated.

I have just sent off for my Fathers Army records, on behalf of my mother, who is still alive and living near Calne Wilts. Hopefully this will be interesting if their recovered from the MOD.

I'm really doing all this so that i can pass it all down to my Sons, before everything goes out of living memory.

Many thanks in advance, and if i can be of any assistance please don't hesitate

Kind Regards
Steve

Hi Nataz

There are lots of Rickmans all around that area i know but we havnt yet discovered the DOB of Fredrick we think his father was William Jonas Rickman B:1874 Mother Francis Annie Bishop B:1875.

So this might not be a match, he also had a brother also William Jonas B:1899

It was worth a try!

Good Luck

Hi I'm Steve Rickman and im tracing my family tree on the Rickman side. We do have a Fredrick Rickman but i dont have a DOB or Death. However looking at it it may be an younger Fredrick. I'm lead to understand that his Father was William Jonas Rickman born in 1874.

If you come across any of my "Rickmans" in your search please drop us a line and i have taken notes and will do the same for you.

Both my Grandfather and Great grandfather were William Jonas and my Father
was Albert Charles.

Kind Regards
Steve
