Hi, i never questioned this until recently understanding more about DNA and CMs.

my nana had a sister sent to Canada as British home child, her son to unknown , had few more kids and i match these 2 grandchildren, i shall call A and B

i have access to A dna , i also have my full bro, half bro and his daughters DNA and also a 3rd cousin DNA on my  nana's maternal line.

i share 53cm to A, and 51cm to B
full bro to A 14cm and to B 46cm
half bro to A 28cm and to B 39cm
niece to A 14cm and to B 31cm

so i thought either my nana or her gt nana have different fathers. so not James arthur Peaker.

however upon recieving A DNA they have over 30 common ancestor matches that i can confirm and in the tree backed up to Peaker line, but not 1 of those matches match me, my brothers or niece.

i have 2 common ancestor DNA Matches that i can fit in the tree, but non of my brothers or A and B match them.
my brother has 1 common ancestor DNA match i can correctly put in tree again no match to anyone else, and my half brother has 1 but i cant confirm as hit and miss with details. but non of us share the match.

the matches me and my brothers have, do have shared matches and links to our nanas maternal side that do match A and B.

all out shared matches are on My nana's maternal side, same with 3rd cousin. where we have 100's between us.

so am i right in thinking that my Nana may have  unknown father - or is it just very weakend DNA passed down?.

my nana was the youngest and her mum left the family when nana was 2 leaving to James Arthur Peaker to look after the children, hence how her sister was a british home child.

any help greatly appriciated

not 1 of them is answering messages either

Hi all,
I manage my half brother, full brother , half niece , 2nd cousins DNA kits aswell as my own..

i would like to have help in trying to fit where match A belongs please. i have pro tools, and no the clusters i do have but non available as yet

my brothers and niece all share DNA match A
me 110cm 6 segs.
half Bro 55cm 4 segs,
full bro 46cm 6 segs
half niece 34cm 3 segs

DNA match A matches DNA B at 106cm 7segs

DNA B Matches
Me 30cm 3 segs
half bro 33cm 3 segs
full bro 62cm 7segs
half niece 60cm 5 segs

DNA B matches DNA C at 37CM 3segs

DNA match C to us
me 12cm 2 segs
half bro 29 cm 1 seg
full bro 34cm 3 segs
Half niece doesnt match C

now i can place all 3 together in their tree.
common ancestor is DNA  match A is their 2ND Gt grandparents. Goes Mum, M Grand mum, M gt grandpa
DNA match B goes like this Mum, M Grandmum, then common ancestor to DNA match A
DNA match c goes like this mum, grandmum, mgrandpa, to common ancestor with DNA match B 's grandmum - half siblings grandmum married twice. but same mum

now on shared matches of my brothers and i DNA match A doesnt share with match C - but i have come across this before with other matches - they do match but not shown in our shared matches

now non of these 3 matches share with my 2nd cousin on my dads paternal (welsh) side so i know its my fathers maternal side. however my 2nd cousin - my paternal nana and their gt grandmother were siblings but i think my nana and her sister have different fathers because i only share 53cm with her, my half bro shares 28cm, full bro 14cm and half niece 14 cm. and they do  not match either with DNA A.B.C

So im guessing my dads maternal fathers side. but also i have connected DNA match A to me at 7th gr grandparents so i know a much closer match is somewhere

any help greatly appriciated

Thankyou for this, so Robert and William were born before their parents married ?.

i did see the census of Richard and mary Lewis, and thought it was mary brother Thomas and Elizabeth

what i have also found now is my brothers dna also has this person match as well as my cousin. and like i said i do really think its my Owen Jones line where the connection is.

my Owen Jones father is John Jones b1810 - Says bodferin on his 2nd marriage to Elizabeth his father is listed as William Jones. Johns occupation is Bricklayer journey man.
Thomas occupation is also Bricklayer/brick maker and his father is William.

it certainly fits doesnt it?

Flintshire / Thomas Jones and wife Elizabeth? what happened to them?
« on: Monday 26 May 25 18:24 BST (UK)  »
Evening all,
my cousin DNA match who i manage has a new Match with thru lines although its not looking correctly right, i believe it to be on my Owen Jones Line and not his wife Eleanor Jones line i have built their tree and im trying to get further back

so I have Richard Edwin Jones born 1881 Mold, to Thomas and Elizabeth Jones - Richard married Alice Mary Anderson b1873 living at 3 1 court new street in 1881 census the marriage is in 1897 and the address is 19 Garden Place Mold.

in 1901 Richard and Alice are living at 2 Garden Place, Mold with children.

in 1891 Richard is living with Uncle and Aunt Richard and Mary Lewis at High street, Richard sister Mary Elizabethb 1871 is also with them.

Now in 1881 census, living at Griffiths square Thomas and Elizabeth Jones with their son Richard E Jones, and their other children :
Robert aged 17 b c1864
William aged 15 b c1866
Mary A aged 9 b 1871
Charlotte A aged 8 b1873 - Charlotte Ann Bellis Jones born Griffiths sq according to baptism- died 1881 Griffiths square.
Thomas JB aged 4 1877 - Thomas John Belles Jones born Griffiths sq , died 1885 Bridge street.
Michael B aged 2 c1879
Rachel B aged 1 b1880 - Rachel was baptised 11 May 1879 Griffiiths sq.

also Edwin Griffiths is their as Brother in Law- im thinking Elizabeth brother b 1835 to Robert and Elizabeth the 1861 census fits.

Now no other census i can find for Thomas and Elizabeth Jones
however chidren Mary Elizabeth and Richard are living in 1891 with uncle and aunt as above.

i thought Elizabeth maybe maiden name Bellies/Bellies /Bellis howeer that one in 1864 Broughton married Thomas Taylor, and that Thomas Jones married Sarah.

i am thinking by my digging that Mary Lewis is Thomas sister, parents William and Elizabeth Jones and they are together on the 51 census with siblings Edward and James.

now back to to thru lines my Owen Jones lived at New Street , then 1 Garden Place and then 34 New Street untill his death in 1888 this is what makes me think the connection is around here .

so what happened to Thomas and Elizabeth and whats her maiden name?

any help greatly appriciated
