Many thanks for the further information Pels. I am looking into the studio connection because my grandfather is mentioned in the Derby Mercury in which a prisoner represented himself as the manager of Abraham Booth studio of Oxford Street. My grandfather - Solomon Ward - was a shopkeeper - at South Normantion. It was the winter assizes 1888. Unfortunately I have been unable to get a copy of the newspaper report. Just another part of the jigsaw when you start probing down the line. Regards Ron Ward alias Fred Holling''its another long story.
