I share your interest in all things Inkle/Inckles/Incles etc.
Most current leads can be traced back to John and Alice Inkle who were married(1788) and lived in Gretton. John was my G-G-G-grandfather.
On the Gretton website is a photo of the White Hart pub where John's grandson William (a shepard) lived with his family of 7 children.
I believe John is also the root for your other enquiry re William of Fiskerton.
