Renfrewshire / sarah ann sharrock greenock cemetery
« on: Monday 15 March 10 20:38 GMT (UK)  »
Sarah ann Sharrock died in 1927 .I beleive she was buried in the catholic section.
Odd because she was married to a Cof I in dublin but left him and her children to run a guest house in greenock.
Her married name was CUredale .He went on to have asecond marriage and family.I am not sure what name she was interred under and wonder if there is indeed a stone or reference.
I would dearly love to know if there is a stone.

Dublin / Re: Mt. Jerome Cemetery Graves

My uncle made it home to dublin about two years ago from canada and recently he sent me of all things a map of Mt jerome Cemetery.
On the bottom is a grave reference.....B3-375-26064  I was wondering if some kind person could tell me who is in that grave.I have emailed my uncle but his health is not good so have had no response.
 ???
My brother will be making a trip to dublin soon from over here in australia but I don't want him wasting a minute once he gets there.

thanks Maystan,
I don't mind waiting for a response in writing from them as  the people I am hunting aren't going anywhere in a hurry.
Besides I am a posty and I love letters!
I am currently trying to interest a dublin based cousin into geneology and hope to be able to wear her down with my email whining about her being so close and me being in australia.

I would like to know if any group has indexed the burials at Mount Jerome Cemetary.I have relatives from both sides of my family buried there and would love to know more .I am a bit far away, being in australia and the last time I was in Dublin I didn't realise how many of mine were in there .My living relatives are not into digging up the past.

Dublin / Portobello Barracks 1919

 JAMES MARTIN.
My grandfather, apparently served with the 3rd Royal
Berkshire Regt  as a Private .For some reason he was stationed at Portobello Barracks in 1919 .
It was on his Marriage certificate, I don't have a service number  and Ministry of Defence weren't able to help.
Any idea where I would look for information regarding  him or the Barracks around that time.

Dave and Rob,

Yes Dave and I are related  I suppose.
John Standish Curedale m Sarah Ann Sharrock (this is my line)
then he married Esther Jacobs Levenston.
So does that mean  Jackie Curedale  is John Sean Standish Curedale.I have not done much more than cursory research into the second marriage mainly because my interest is in the first marriage.
I would love to find out more about John Armstead Curedale .Apparently  the children of the first marriage  didn't like  Esther Jacobs Levenston and we were never allowed to ask about that  part of the family history.
Trust me I tried.
Keep me posted guys!
