Jane Grimshaw would have been born aroubnd 1890
her grandparents Joseph and Alice would have been married around 1840?

Hi Maxine
which of Joseph and Ann's children are you descended from?
are you related to Thomas Hampstead, since you have put a p in the last name?

to Molten Lava

I am in between classes right now, so i will respond more later
I think this means that your grandfather must be Peter or William Hamstead?

I thought my Dad had no family except his mum, do you live in Rotherham
I am in New York State and I am planning to visit Rotherham in the summer,  my brothers and I grew up in Abingdon
i am so excited at finding family but sad because it is too late for my dad
I would love more information and wish there was someway I can contact you more directly

Thanks
jane

my father's great great grandfather was Joseph Hamstead of Rptherham, his great grandfather was Peter Hamstead and his father was George.  My Dad, Peter Murray,  died last July in Maryland, USA, I know very little about the family history

Trevor, I think that Florence might have been George's sister
I also know that Joseph Hamstead was originally Joseph Escott from Cornwall
I hope tp hear from one of you

Jane

please
