Recently started researching the Corcoran branch of the family, from Cashel. I believe my Great Great Grandfather was Patrick Corcoran. Patrick was a Town Sergeant in Cashel and worked for the Town Commissioners. I believe he had a son called John, who was the informant on his death certificate. This is the same John Corcoran, the father of William Corcoran you are looking for.

Parish records at St. Mary's, Edenderry, County Offaly shows a marriage of a Francis Gaffney to Anne Wheatly in October 1864. Could be a possible.

My Great Grandfather was from the Edenderry area (Cloncannon/Kilane) and married an Eliza Gaffney 12 feb 1866 at the Roman Catholic Chapel at Kilane, Edenderry, any relation?
