Family History Beginners Board / 1911 census lookup please
« on: Tuesday 16 March 10 08:58 GMT (UK)  »
Hi,
I was wondering if someone could do a lookup for me on the 1911 census to see who these 2 people were living with:

Sidney Gerald Robson 1903 aged 8 Edmonton Middlesex.
Sidney Robson 1903 aged 8 Camberwell London

Many Thanks!

Thanks for the help on this one.  I finally ordered a birth certificate for one of Hannah's children and she was indeed the girl next door!

Oooh thankyou!
Samuel Morris doesn't seem to have been a particularly common name so I'm guessing that is him!

She can't have been too upset as she quickly found another man to father her child. Unless it was him but she didn't want to register him as the father!

The plot thickens!

Might try a different tactic....
Just found a Hannah born about the right time living next door with her dad William and various siblings including an Isabella. All 3 of these names seem to get used quite a lot in later generations so maybe he married the girl next door............need to investigate further though as I'm sure its not that simple!!!

Sorry mistyped in my initial post. It meant to say in 1851 John was unmarried! He was living with his parents aged 15 in Longbenton!!!

Hi,

I think i may have to do this. One of their younger sons was Samuel which is at least a bit more uncommon and I'm sure I've found his birth in September 1873: ORD  Samuel    Tynemouth  10b 213.

Thankyou!

Thanks a lot,
I'll have a look at the 1851 and see what they were up to then and if there was a Hannah living with them!!

Stan,
Yes i've tried free bmd but only came up with one possible for 1853. I'm not convinced its them as they'd have married at 18 then had a 6 year gap before their children who all followed in fairly quick succession.
The other possible issue is that some Hannah's in the family are really Ann's so I can't work out which marriage could be theirs.

Thankyou! I've never used the references before.
How did you manage to find them as they've turned from Ord to Bird!
Its definately them though from the names and birth years etc.....
I'd tried every spelling of the name but not bird!
