Thats very interesting, i have checked with Cheshire Council and found that  John Bratt was baptised at Over on 9 April 1820, son of Mary Bratt  and I have obtained the parish record, there is no mention of the father at all anywhere other than the mention on Johns marriage certificate in Hull and states his father is also a john Bratt (boilermaker)and still living at that time???? could you help find any of his info?

I have a weath of info on the Bratts now from John bratt 1821 onwards if anyone need it let me know

regards

Hi all

I am trying to make a family connection to John Bratt 1861 census say he has a son John Bratt  aged 9 born 1852, following the census search to batley but then his sons name changes to james then Jim,

So John-James to Jim all in Batley? but the records match but the names differs slightly, anyone help?

Thanks Mr Bratt!!
