Sorry about the misspelling of Peebles,  not once but three times the fool.

Perthshire / Re: Ferguson. .Parish of Kincardine..near Doune

         Hi Val,
Thank you for the information on the church, it would seem to be the spot that my 5th gen grandparents would have been married. George Taylor and Ann Mcarthur m.  May 12, 1816 .
Duncan Mcarthur and Margaret Sands  has 10 children christened in this parish ,ranging from 1780 to 1803.
At the end of some christenings entries is the towns name . Craigfranky  is one I found on the north side of
Thornhill . Burliston is a town I have not yet found .
Duncan's children are Janet, Helen, Margt., Jean, Duncan, Mary, Robert, Arthur and  Elis.
Could there be any family members in this parish's cemetery ?

Thank you again for your help.    Taylor

  Hi folks ,
I was wondering what was the date when the Kincardine parish church in this photo was built ?
And is there someone who will do grave site look up in this parish ?
Thank you for your time.     Taylor1832

       Hi Kristy,
The links that you send me are great, thank you so much.
At the end of each christening records on microfilm they have given a towns name of where that child was born.
Your link has given me a 1745 Perthshire map that shows Craigfranky just north of Thornhill .
The 1814 census did not turn up anything for me, maybe because George Taylor and Ann Mcarthur was not married
until 1816. But many family names in the census like Mcfarlane, McNaughton and Steward may be the same families
that settled in Puslinch , Ontario, Canada asking for a land grant from the Crown as my family did.
 Thank you again. Dave

Perthshire / Mcarthur from Kincardine of Doune parish
« on: Tuesday 16 February 10 23:08 GMT (UK)  »
Hello,
My first question , is the Kincardine of Doune parish the same location as the Blair drummond church?
The records I have of Duncan Mcarthur  m. Margt Sawns in 1779 had 10 children from 1780 to 1803.
The end of each birth record has the town or settlement where they were living .
Can Craigfranky and Burliston be found on some old map ?
Also can you tell me more about the Blair Drummond Moss Census of 1814 ?  and  see if there is a George Taylor
in it.                                                        Thank you so much for your time.    Dave
