Dear Grasser5

hi there

why wouldn't Elizabeth be the daughter of William and Sarah Antram  bap at Southampton Holy Rood 26.11.1770.  Alverstoke is only down the road, well 15- 20 miles.
Plus I only have one record of an Elizabeth Antram born about this time in Hampshire.

I can see that a William Thomas Fender was bap in 1801 in Portsea st John  to William and Elizabeth so I presume its your family.

Have you got any burial information to age them on death ?

regards

Lucy

hi there

have you discounted the marriage of a Thomas Eatwell to Sarah Collins at Ramsbury 8.11.1754

Thomas was a Labourer of Baydon and Sarah a spinster of Ramsbury.

Banns heard in Baydon.

Is it possible the couple had a few children out of wedlock.

Janete

hi there...... I am directly related to John Brasier who was brother to George. In the register the surname is spelt as Brasser.  Additional children to John and Ann are

John bp 5.6.1732     Basingstoke
Richard bp 8.7.1734      "
James bp 4.5.1736         "

John married Jane Samwell in Herriard 22.7.1753.
Yesterday I went to see their memorial plaque in St Mary's church old Basing. Its big and records John as Steward to the Duke of Bolton.

 see http://www.britannia.com/church/studies/basg1843.html

I think that John was born in 1708 to Edward Brasier and Mary Falkener (Micheldever)

hope I have filled in some gaps

regards

Lucy

 :)Hi there

Got it , John Crook married Ann Harrison 13 Oct 1804 in Hale

Anne Harrison was baptised 6 Aug 1775 to John and Elizabeth in Hale.

Hope your ancestors stayed in Hale as the Dorset/Wilts boundaries just add futher complication to the searching.

regards

Xanthe

dropped into HRO today and looked up your marriage - both parties were widowed as I think you were expecting.

Nicholas Lake widower and Francis Hitchens widow both of the parish were married in church by banns 14.9.1814

both signed the register

witnesses were a bit more tricky, Frances J Hookey/Gookey ( not sure about the surname) and Josephe Rowe (again not sure about the surname)

Hope it solves a family history problem

best wishes

Linda :)

Dear Hatinavid

hi there

I looked at the register today at the HRO ...

and Martha Strong of Stratfield Say.

I have just checked where Tidmarsh is and its Berkshire about 15 miles away.

Hope he went on to marry her !!!
