Hi Nanny Jan

Thank you, I have been in touch with Essex Record Office, Chelmsford and they tell me they do have some records of that time but only minutes which I don't think will be very helpful in finding where my relatives were placed when transferred from the Chelsea Workhouse, I may well pay them a visit and sift through some of the records around that time frame and see if there are any leads.

Hello

I am trying to trace my dad and aunt (twins) born Jan 1917 in Chelsea workhouse I have found they were transferred to the Romford Union on 26 Feb 1917 along with their mother and 4 year old brother, is it possible to find a register or even which of the houses they went to in the Romford Union as there appears to be a number of houses, any pointers would be helpful.

Hello

I am lookng for any information or pointers on Chelsea Workhouse around 1917, I have found a couple of entries in the Register of Religious Creeds, my Grand Mother, b.1888, Uncle b.1913, twins Aunt and Father b.1917. I know Gmother is listed on birth certs as a cook/domestic of 250 Kings Road Chelsea, Uncle showing up on number of occasions on register, twins being born on 13/2/1917 on the register, and all of them there between 3/2/17 - 26/2/17 when they were discharged, any help would be useful, what does this all mean for example whence admitted, discharged, name of informant, and is there anyway I can find more information i.e. list of workers in the Workhouse around this year 1917, were they adopted, sent to families which I know they were, any help would be appreciated.

many thanks Micwood

Hello
Have now obtained birth certificate for William Ernest Parker b.1922 Hartismere, he was first registered as Edward Ernest (4a - 1727) and again as William Ernest (4A - 1727a) amended after registration. Williams parents are, as you hinted, John Parker and Mary Stearne. Mary I have found as being born Worlingworth 1897 and marrying John Parker 1920 Hartismere district. John Parker (Farm Horseman) I cannot find any info for other than marriage 1920, I would guess he would be around the same age as Mary, but no luck as yet. Any ideas?
thanks

Hi
Thanks for info I have been doing a little research through both Freebmd and Ancestry and I believe Samuel C and Hannah are the parents I am looking for, as John and Mary may have been too young but I will recheck info and maybe obtain b/c for William E Parker and go from there.
Thank you

hello
I am trying to find any information about the Parker family which lived in the Bedfield/Bedingfield area of Suffolk, born around the 1920s. I have a few names William 1922, Edward 1920, and Kathy 1925 who was married to a Robert (Bob) Jay, they may have had some connection with the Cracknells who lived at Monk Soham. Also where could I find any records of them.
